The S9's ability to return to its base and empty its dust bin when it's full was a fantastic feature. It eliminated the need for manual maintenance. The dust bag is expected to last for about 30 loads, which is about two months and you'll need to replace the filter every once in a while (which is actually recommended by iRobot). The iRobot S9+ is not extremely loud when it's operating, making it a good choice for families with children or pets.

The Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid vacuum and mopping machine is an excellent choice for people who live in a multi-floored home. Its dual motors offer incredible cleaning power and the 0.6l dust bin can hold a lot of pet hair. The dustbin can be easily removed and empty which is great since you'll be required to do this frequently.
It's simple to set up too, although I recommend fully charging the X8 Hybrid before running it for the first time. You'll have to install the Eufy Home app and follow the instructions to connect to your Wi-Fi network. Once you've done this the app will help you create an accurate map of your home. You can name rooms, divide rooms into sub-rooms (good for open-plan living) and direct the X8 Hybrid to specific areas that require cleaning at a given time. The X8 Hybrid has a great feature: you can turn on the mop or vacuum via voice thanks to its integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. This is a wonderful feature that makes the robot more hands-free. It worked well in our test house.
The X8 Hybrid, like many robotic vacuums, has a few issues with bare flooring. It can miss pet hair and other small objects, and it is prone to hit things - such as its own charger that sits on its charging base. It's also not as quiet, and the whirring sound can be distracting as with other models.

The robot doesn't come with the same number of features as some of the more expensive ones we've tested, but it does have the basics covered. It has a big dust bin which can hold a lot of dirt before needing to be empty. The vacuum and mop system is ideal for hard floors and carpets with a low pile. It is also very quiet. We were able watch TV while it cleaned without feeling like we were being bombarded with noise.
Our testers were impressed by how simple it was to set up and use, and were amazed by its ability to clean all the mess out of their floors. It was successful in getting rid of pet hair, messes and carpeting however, it was more difficult in getting rid of stains that were stubborn. The app was easy to use and intuitive. It was able to set up the vacuum to clean frequently to minimize the amount of manual work. The one downside is that it doesn't have any mapping technology or object avoidance, so you can't send it to specific rooms or follow virtual boundaries (though magnetic boundary strips can be used).

It's also the best budget option for those seeking a more intelligent, self-emptying robot vacuum that can handle hair and pet messes on hardwood floors or carpets with low pile. It's also extremely quiet and comes with a large dust bin which can hold plenty of debris before it has to be empty.
The V3S Pro did not make it into any of our top picks lists from trusted sources who test hands-on, but it received high marks from Modern Castle, Smart Robot Reviews and The Ambient. They were impressed with the ease with which it was set up and use, but they also noted that its battery life is limited and it wasn't able to avoid some of the toughest messes we put it through.
